It is unlawful to discriminate, without justification, against anyone on the grounds of their disability. The relevant legislation is the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, which was strengthened by the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.
Tribunal awards for discrimination on grounds of disability are currently costing employers more than any other class of discrimination.
